WELCOME!
In 1951, a father's gift in honor of his son helped build the Bezazian Branch Library in Chicago. Today, Bezazian is one of the top ten
busiest in the Chicago Public Library's 81 branch system.
Our goal is to help keep it that way.
We're the Friends of Bezazian Library. Join us.
Mark your calendars for the 2026 Friends of Bezazian Book Sale!
Got books to donate? Book collection begins August 3!
Make some space on your bookshelves! Starting Monday, August 3, you can swing by the library and drop off the books you've loved and no longer need: children's books, young adult, all kinds of fiction and nonfiction, those coffee table beauties—all are welcome.
Help us make the 2026 sale our biggest yet! And please, don't leave those precious books outside—bring them into the library. Thanks!
Dying for a good read? Book sale dates are September 19 and 20!
See you there!
May clothing drive
The next 19th District Mutual Aid and Friends of Bezazian Library Clothing Drive is May 30, from 2 to

Library budget cuts update: You were heard!
As of January 13, there's still no word on the particulars of the 2026 library budget, but thanks to you, it looks like our library has been spared at least some of the previously proposed cuts.
That's a win, and big one!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to write, call, and text your views on the importance of the library to our community and show your support for funding what matters.
